Islamabad: 12 outlaws arrested
ISLAMABAD: The Kohsar police arrested three persons for allegedly taking away cellphone sets and other valuables from the house of a French diplomat at F-7/4. Mr Claude, the third secretary at the French embassy, complained to the police that some unidentified persons had taken away the valuables worth thousands of rupees from his house on October 21.
The police arrested Riaz Ali, Mohammad Hanif and Zawar Khan, residents of Mansehra, and claimed to have recovered the stolen items from their possession.
Meanwhile, the Crime Investigation Agency of the police arrested five members of a gang of robbers from their hideout in Malpur. Three pistols and a Suzuki Mehran car (ICT-LV-188) were also recovered from their possession.
During initial investigation, the accused confessed to committing robberies in Sabzi Mandi, Raja Bazaar, Fatehjang road, Dheri Hassanabad and other areas. The CIA also arrested a man after recovery of fake currency notes worth Rs41,000 from his possession.
Likewise, it recovered 510 grams of hashish from a man and arrested him. Similarly, a couple was arrested for their alleged involvement in theft in a house where they worked.
