Rawalpindi: Teenager killed
RAWALPINDI: A 15-year-old boy was killed after a stray bullet reportedly fired by a bridegroom and his friends hit him. Attaullah, the father of the deceased, complained to the New Town police that a wedding ceremony was being held in the neighbourood while his two sons – Suleman, 15, and Arslan, 18, – were standing at the terrace of their house when a bullet fired by Qasim and others hit his younger son.
He said the injured was taken to hospital where he died early Tuesday. It may be noted that the Punjab government has already banned the use of firearms and crackers in wedding ceremonies but still such cases are being reported to the police.
