Karachi: Four `hit men` remanded in police custody
KARACHI: A judicial magistrate on Wednesday remanded four suspected hit men in police custody till Oct 31. The four suspects — Adil, Mohammad Aslam, Zain-ul-Abideen and Nasir Qadir — were brought before the judicial magistrate for remand in cases pertaining to possessing illicit weapons and attempted murder.
The CID police claimed that it arrested suspect Aslam within the remit of the Jackson police station while remaining suspects were apprehended within the jurisdiction of the Pak Colony police station on Oct 25 after a shoot-out.
The police said that the suspects were affiliated with two political groups and disclosed their involvement in a number of targeted killing cases. They were booked under Sections 353 (criminal assault to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 324 (attempted murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code and under Section 13-D of the Pakistan Arms Ordinance, 1965.
