Lahore: Youth gunned down by bikers
LAHORE: A 25-year-old youth was gunned down by two armed motorcyclists during a dacoity bid in Shahdara Town police precincts on Thursday night.
Police investigators said that the deceased Nadir of Maqbara Morr was going on main road when two motorcyclists appeared from his rear side and sprayed a volley of bullets on him, leaving him in the pool of blood. A rescue ambulance shifted him to the Mayo Hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. Police concerned, however, said the incident seemed the outcome of old enmity but they were investigating. Later, his body was shifted to the City morgue for autopsy.
The Sabzazaar police are yet to take any preventive measure as some unidentified persons have taken out multiple efforts of killing a citizen under unexplained reasons. The victim later identified as Shahzad Ahmed, a cousin of a newsman, said that he was attacked by a few persons in front of his home a couple of days back. “Eventually, bullets passed without touching my body, but I fear they intended to murder me for unknown reasons,” he said, adding unknown persons were perpetually threatening him of dire consequences.
