Islamabad: NH&MP kill two involved in robbery
ISLAMABAD: Officers of National Highways and Pakistan Motorway Police (NH&MP) N-5 North-III Sector killed two robbers who were trying to flee after committing robbery in a mobile shop on Monday.
Rana Faiz Rasool the owner of Waqar Mobile Shop informed NH&MP officer Sub-Inspector Abid Hussain that four unknown robbers committed robbery in his shop and looted Rs 25,000, mobile cards and approximately 15 mobile phones and rushed towards GT road in a corolla car. Hussain flashed the massage to all patrolling officers through help line 130 to keep vigilant eye on the robbers.
After some time, NH & MP patrolling mobile tried to stop the said corolla car but they accelerated the speed and did not stop. By taking a prompt action the said car was stopped by Inspector Rashid Mehmood, Ghulam Muhammad and Sub-Inspector Tariq Mehmood, Abid Hussain, Saqlain Anwar and constable Akram at Mirike City.
On this action of NH&MP officers, robbers opened indiscriminate firing on the officers to fail their action. Having the right of self-defense NH & MP officers opened fire on the robber. Resultantly two robbers identified as Waqar son of Nazir and Arsalan son of Khalid Javed resident of chak shumali Sargodha died on the spot while two others escaped by taking advantage of the darkness. The officers recovered one 222 Rifles, one 30-bore pistol, Rs 6000, five mobile sets and a corolla car involved in robbery. First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against the robbers at Mirike City Police Station. People of nearby locality highly applauded the timely action.
