ISLAMABAD: Police have arrested an alleged killer who assassinated his colleague after beheading him and then dumping his body in the green belt of sector G-9/1, a spokesman for police said here Monday.
According to spokesman, Margallah police found a body from green belt of sector G-9/1 stuffed in a sack on October 11, registered FIR No. 571 under section 302/34 PPC and shifted it to hospital. Later, the deceased was identified as Muhammad Rafique son of Taj Din worker at a local hotel in Blue area and resident of Bhandi Wala, Tehsil Chakothi, district Hattain Wala.
Following this tragedy, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muhammad Yousuf Malik assigned task to Superintendent of Police (SP) Sajid Kiyani to trace out the culprits involved in this heinous crime. The SP constituted special team headed by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mustansar Feeroz including Station House Officer (SHO) Margallah Police Station Inspector Irshad Abro, Sub-Inspector Feeroz and others.
This team started the investigation and finally arrested the perpetrator of this act. The killer has been identified as Shabbir son of Muhammad Sharif, he confessed to behead his colleague along with other accomplices after a personal conflict. Teams have been sent to arrest the absconding criminals.
