Lahore: 2 held for demanding extortion money
LAHORE: Ghalib Market police have arrested two men for allegedly demanding Rs6 million from the owner of a private health facility and his sister.
According to a Lahore police spokesman, Muhammad Javed and Muhammad Afzal were taken into custody on the complaint of Dr Aamir Ali Zeb of Hameed Lateef Hospital and his sister Kiran.
The police said Javed and Afzal had been hurling death threats at Zeb and Kiran to extort money from them. The police traced them with the help of their cell phone calls.
