Nankana Sahib: Journalist survives life attempt
NANKANA SAHIB: The District Press Club Chairman survived a life attempt here when unidentified car-riders fired a volley of gunshots at him the other day. Luckily, he remained unhurt. As per detail, District Press Club Chairman Malik Bao Zafar was on way back to Nankana from Khairay Kalan on his motorcycle with another journalist Asif Iqbal Sh, sitting pillion.
Meanwhile, three unidentified culprits, riding a black coloured Honda 125, bearing no number plate, opened indiscriminate fire on them.
However, both of them remained unhurt while the culprits fled away. Upon information, the police cordoned off the entire area and launched a search for the culprits.
Meanwhile, the Anjuman-e-Tajran, District Bar, local journalists community and social circles have condemned the incident and demanded the Nankana DPO arrest the accused involved in the life attempt. They also demanded that the government should provide security to the common man including journalist.
