Faisalabad: 12 cops booked for manhandling lawyer
FAISALABAD: Civil Lines Police have registered a case against Constable Muhammad Tayyab and 11 other unidentified constables on charge of manhandling lawyer Ahmad Saeed and snatching cash, a cellphone and a wrist watch from him.
Lawyer Ahmad Saeed told the police that he had asked Constable Muhammad Tayyab performing duty at a small gate of the sessions court to open main gate for people’s convenience, but constable Tayyab started quarrelling with him. During an exchange of dialogues, eleven other constables appeared there to help Tayyab. After the incident, the lawyers protested against the constables. On the order of SP Lyallpur Town SP Zafar Gondal and Civil Lines DSP Naeem Sindhu, a case was registered against the cops.
