Karachi: Man, friend shot dead
Karachi: A man and his friend were killed in a clash in the Memon Goth police limits on Thursday. Fidha Hussain, 30, and his friend Habib, 32, suffered bullet wounds when his brother-in-law Shaukat along with his accomplices came over to his residence situated in Jumma Goth, opened fire on them and fled.
Hussain’s family members took them to the JPMC, where they died. Police said that the clash took place due to some family dispute.
Meanwhile, three people were injured in a hand grenade explosion in the Kalri police limits on Thursday.
Asif, Abu Baker and Babul suffered minor injuries when two armed men on a motorcycle lobbed explosive material into a snooker club owned by Hakeem Gondal near Jumma Masjid, and fled. The SP City told The News that the hand grenade was Russian-made. He said that the owner of the snooker club had no enmity with any political party or Lyari gang war criminals. The injured was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi.
