Lahore: Father confesses to killing daughter, son-in-law
LAHORE: Crimes Investigation Agency (CIA) City division police on Thursday claimed to have resolved the mystery of a double-murder and said that three people have been arrested in connection with the killings of a couple. The main culprit in the double murder case has been identified as father of the deceased girl.
Police said that the newly wed couple, identified as Nadeem Ahmed and his wife Nagina Bibi, had been found slaughtered at their rented-house in Sarshar town some three months ago. The police collected evidences from the crime scene and begun investigations after registering the case against unidentified killers.
Later, the police team arrested Malik Khan, father of the deceased girl Nagina Bibi in connection with the killings. The man confessed to the investigators that he along with his two other accomplices had slaughtered his daughter and son-in-law with a sharp-edge weapon and fled away after locking their house from outside. The police have also arrested his accomplices and recovered killing weapons from their possession. According to the police, Nadeem Ahmed had contracted love-marriage with his class fellow Nagina Bibi and the couple was residing in Sarshar Town. Further investigations are underway.
