Taxila: Police officials suspended
TAXILA: Taking serious notice of the police failure to nab the criminals involved in the Rs15million robbery in Lala Rukh Jewellery market, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday suspended all the staff of police station Wah Cantt and Rescue 15.
Ch Nisar, who was elected from the constituency, ordered the suspension of the police officials after a meeting with the affected traders. He also expressed concern over the incident occurred on October 5 in which a gang of ten outlaws in police uniforms deprived eight jewelers of gold worth Rs15 million. The police failed to nab the dacoits and recover the looted gold despite the lapse of one month. Mr Khan also took serious notice of the inefficiency of the Rescue 15 staff as despite being located a few yards away from the crime scene, they did not turn up on time.
