Lahore: Man killed over property dispute
LAHORE: A 40-year-old man was killed and nine others were injured when his rivals shot at them in Pajian village of Raiwind on Sunday. A property dispute involving a 12-marla shamlot plot is said to be the motive behind the shooting incident.
The Raiwind city police said that Nek Muhammad, who possessed the plot for several years, was preset there when his rival Qadeem, alias Kadu, and his brother Waseem came there along with their accomplices. An exchange of words took place between Qadeem and Nek after which Qadeem and his henchmen resorted to firing bullets that left Nek and his relatives Shakeela Razzauqe, Irfan Shaukat, Imran Atif, Baber, Illyas, Karam Elahi and Shaukat injured.
The injured were taken to Jinnah Hospital where Nek, father of four, succumbed to his wounds. The police said Qadeem and his brother wanted to grab the plot from Nek and both sides had quarreled with each other in the past.
The police handed over the body to the family after autopsy and registered a murder case against Qadeem and his accomplices with no arrest so far.
