Lahore: Punjab MPA’s brother beats doctor for not issuing fake report
LAHORE: The brother of MPA Peer Rafi-ud-Din Shah thrashed a doctor at his private clinic after he and his wife who is also a doctor refused to issue a fake medical report of an alleged rape case in the Qureshiwala police limits in Lodhran district Tuesday.
Local police have expressed ignorance about the incident. The victim doctor named Muhammad Akram, posted in basic health centre Hatti Motal Mal, while talking to The News on phone said Sami-ud-Din Shah, the brother of sitting MPA of the PML-Q Forward Bloc Peer Rafi-ud-Din Shah, approached him at his clinic situated close to Rural Health Centre (RHC) Gogran along with his eight armed accomplices at around 6.30 pm.
Dr Akram further said the accused Sami-ud-Din Shah rudely called him out of the clinic while sitting in his car. He added that as he went close to him, Sami Shah threatened him to break his legs and started beating him.
As a result, “my nose started bleeding and I sustained injuries on different parts of the body” the doctor claimed. The doctor said Sami ordered his accomplices to pick him to teach him a lesson. However, locals of the area gathered on the spot saved the doctor from the wrath of MPA’s brother. The accused persons escaped from the scene by hurling abuses to the doctor.
To a question that whether he had informed the local police, the doctor said MPA’s brother had complete hold on police station therefore he had not filed any complaint so far. However, he said he would bring this incident to the notice of Pakistan Medical Association for justice.
