Karachi: Man wounded in firing
KARACHI: A man who had become a complainant in the latest FIR against Afaq Ahmed, chairman of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi), was wounded in a firing incident in Landhi on Wednesday. Police said Khalid Husain, son of Ghulam Husain, was shot at in Landhi’s C-1 Area by assailants.
The wounded man was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. Hospital sources said the victim had suffered a bullet wound in the leg and was said to be in a stable condition.
The fresh FIR (244/2011) against Afaq Ahmed and his aides was registered by the Landhi police on a complaint of Khalid Hussain, a resident of the town’s C-1 Area, on Oct 10.
