Nowshera: 4 robbers held

NOWSHERA: The police claimed to have arrested a gang of robbers on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway on Tuesday night.

 

Talking to reporters, District Police Officer Muhammad Hussain said that acting on a tip-off, a party of Risalpur Police Station headed by SHO Rauf Khan signalled a car (LZM-226) to stop on the motorway but the occupants of the car sped away. He said the police party chased the car and overpowered the accused identified as Asif and Zafar, hailing from Sialkot, and Nasir and Irfan belonging to Faisalabad district.



The police officer said four pistols and magazines were seized from the arrested accused. He said during interrogation the accused admitted to have committed several robberies on the motorway.
