Islamabad: 5 women among nine arrested for immoral activities

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police on Thursday arrested 13 persons, including five women, for their alleged involvement in immoral activities, possessing arms and recovered wine bottles and weapons from their possession, the police spokesman said.

 

Acting on a tip-off, Station House Officer of Ramna Police Station Ghulam Muhammad Baqir constituted a special team, headed by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shehbaz. The team raided a house in Sector G-12 after getting a search warrant. Police nabbed nine persons, including five women, for their alleged involvement in immoral activities. The nabbed persons were identified as Majid Ali, Zaheer, Nadeem, Afzal, Sehra, Amina, Sanai, Allah Rakhi and Shahida.



Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Liaquat Ali of the Kohsar Police arrested Rashid Mehmud after recovery of valuables worth Rs20,000 from him.

ASI Abrar Hussain of the Tarnol Police nabbed Ubaid for having a 30-bore illegal pistol, while Koral Police arrested Raja Fahad Imtiaz and Raja Shehbaz for possessing one 30-bore pistol each. Police have registered cases against nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
