Karachi: Two people were killed in different incidents on Sunday. The body of Nasrullah, 27, bearing marks of torture and bullet wounds, was found in the bushes in Gulshan-i-Hadeed, Steel Town, on Sunday morning.
Police said that Nasrullah, a resident of Steel Town, had been jobless for the past few months. On Saturday night, Adeel, a friend of the deceased, had visited his house and told Nasrullah that he had found a job for him.
Nasrullah left his house with Adeel. On failing to return home till late in the night, the family members called Nasrullah but his cell phone was switched off. Then they went to the police station and lodged a missing complaint. On Sunday morning, his bullet-riddled body with marks of physical torture was found from Gulshan-i-Hadeed.
The police are investigating the matter and initially they termed the murder an act of enmity. A case was reported at the police station. In a separate case, Nehal 28 was shot dead in the Yousuf Plaza police limits. Police said that the incident happened late Saturday night in the Yousuf Plaza area.
Bandits broke into the store and started looting at gunpoint. Nehal attempted to overpower a dacoit upon which one of the accomplices of the latter opened fire and injured Nehal and fled with cash and cell phones.
The owner of Rehmat Store immediately took the injured to a private hospital in a rickshaw where the doctors suggested shifting him to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) and the hospital had arranged an ambulance and were shifting the injured to the ASH, on their way they got stuck near Liaquatabad in traffic mess and on the way to hospital Nehal succumbed to his injuries. The Yousuf Plaza police said that after the offence they had aired a message on police control with the particulars of the fleeing suspects.
During the period, the suspects were intercepted by the Azizabad police and after a brief encounter, Mohammed Imran was arrested while his two companions escaped. The police also recovered a murder weapon from the possession of accused person.
Nehal was a labourer by profession and the only breed earner for his family. A case was reported and investigation is under way.
