Karachi: 3 fall prey to violence separately
KARACHI: Three people were fallen prey to acts of violence in different areas of the City here on Sunday. As per detail, a policeman was killed at Essa Nagri in the remit of Aziz Bhatti Police.
According top police officials, the deceased 36-year-old Sanaullah Niazi, son of Shareef Ullah, was standing with others. Suddenly unidentified culprits, riding pillion emerged at the scene and opened fire, killing him on the spot. While the culprits run away from the scene.
They added that the deceased was a police cop and deployed in the Police Special Cell. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities. Later, the body was handed over to the family after autopsy.
No case could be registered till filling of this report. Meanwhile, a body, carrying severe torture marks was found near National Highway power plant in the limits of Steel Town Police. According to the police, the victim was later identified as Nasrullah 25, son of Umer Khitab, a resident of the same area, was going along with his friend to visit nearby park and went missing.
Later, after 10 hours his tortured body was recovered. The body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy and later handed to the family. No case could be registered till filling the report.
In another incident, a decomposed body of a man was found near Superhighway in the limits of Memon Goth Police.
Police said that identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained, adding that the body was carrying severe torture marks.
The body was moved to JPMC for legal formalities and later shifted to Edhi mortuary for identification.
