Karachi: Watchman found dead
KARACHI: A watchman was found dead in a vacant house in the North Nazimabad area on Monday, police said. They said that the body of the watchman, Muqabil Shah, was found hanging from the ceiling of the basement of the vacant house.
Quoting his brother’s statement, the police said the victim had told him that he was going to collect the money he had been depositing with friends on a monthly basis. But when he did not return, his brother went to the house in North Nazimabad’s Block N, where he found him dead, the police said.
They said he alleged that his brother was killed by three persons with whom he had been depositing his money. He said the killers hanged his brother to portray the incident as a suicide.
A case (FIR 529/2011) was registered against Maula Bukhsh, Sardaran Bibi and Abdul Majeed under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code on a complaint of the victim’s brother, Kalib Shah, at the Shahrah-i-Noor Jahan police station.
