Militants blow up six shops in Orakzai
KALAYA: Unknown militants blew up six shops, including two music centres, in the Jalka Mela area on Tuesday, tribal sources said.
The sources said the unknown militants had planted explosive devices at the shops in the main market of Jalka Mela, located 16 kilometres to the east of the Orakzai Agency’s headquarters, Kalaya.
Sources said four shops and two compact disks (CDs) centres were destroyed in the explosion. The political administration arrested 21 persons belonging to the Bezotkhel tribe under the collective responsibility section of the Frontier Crimes Regulation.
They included Malik Ghulam Habib, Malik Muhammad Mir, Malik Aqal Khan, Malik Azmat Khan, Usman Khan, Nasrullah Khan and Muqadir Khan. The administration also deployed the Orakzai Scouts for the protection of the important trade markets in the area, tribal sources said.
