Karachi: Five shot dead in different incidents
KARACHI: At least five people were killed, two of them in target killing incidents, in various parts of the city on Monday.
The bullet-riddled body of Khan Muhammad, 45, was found in the Padar Ground near Qasim Shah Road in Keamari.
Police took the corpse to the Civil Hospital for legal formalities.
According to the police, the man was a civilian employee of the Naval Dockyard. On Sunday night, he left his house to have the mobile phone repaired when unidentified people opened fire on him, killing him on the spot.
The police claimed that he was killed in a targeted incident.
The bullet-riddled body of a 28-year-old unidentified man was found near Ghaziabad in the Manghopir police area. On being informed, police reached the spot and shifted the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem.
The police claimed that unidentified people had kidnapped him from some unknown location and later killed him.
The police said the murder was a target killing.
Majid, 30, and his friend, Muhammad Amir, 25, were killed when two men riding a motorcycle sprayed them with bullets near Korangi No-5/1-2 while they were standing next to a school van which both of them operated for picking and dropping schoolchildren.
The bodies were shifted to the JPMC for legal formalities.
Raza, 22, was going home when unidentified people riding a motorcycle opened fire on him near the Metro Cinema in Orangi Town. He died on the spot.
His body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem. According to the police, Raza was killed over some personal enmity.
