Islamabad: 12 outlaws nabbed
ISLAMABAD: The capital police on Tuesday arrested 12 outlaws for their alleged involvement in drug peddling and robberies.
A police spokesman said the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) arrested five persons for their alleged involvement in theft of vehicle’s gas kits.
Likewise, Tarnol police arrested a man after recovery of a 30-bore pistol from him.
Similarly, Sabzi Mandi police intercepted a man on suspicion and recovered an 8MM rifle from him which led to his arrest. The police also arrested two persons for possessing a 30-bore pistol and hashish weighing 500grams.
The Secretariat police arrested a man after recovery of a 12-bore gun from him, while two other persons were arrested and recovered 19 liquor bottles from them.
Separate cases were registered against the arrestees and further investigations were in progress.
Earlier, the police during a crackdown arrested 105 outlaws including 32 proclaimed offenders and 73 court absconders during the last three weeks.
Similarly, the police also raided various gambling dens and arrested 26 gamblers and recovered stake money and other items used in the gambling. Meanwhile, 14 persons were also arrested for their alleged involvement in sex trade and immoral activities.
