Policeman shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI: A policeman was killed in Orangi Town in what police said a targeted attack on Tuesday. Sub-Inspector Aleem Shah was gunned down near Baloch Goth when he was heading for work.

After hearing gunshots, people informed the police, who shifted the body to the Abbasi Shaheed HospitalSP SITE Shah Jahan Khan said that the cop was posted in the Pirabad police station. He added that Shah was targeted.



In yet another incident, the bullet-riddled body of Tahir Khan, 35, was found in the bushes in Malir. Police said that the body bore torture marks, while the hands and legs were tied with a rope. Meanwhile, Nayyar Zaidi, 28, who had suffered bullet wounds in an armed attack on Numaish Chowrangi on Monday, died during treatment. He was a resident of Ancholi.
