Lahore: 5 people killed in different incidents
LAHORE: At least five people, including a woman, were killed in different incidents in the provincial capital on Thursday.
In the first incident, a 20-year-old youth was shot dead by his neighbour over a minor issue in the precincts of the Misri Shah police. The deceased was identified as Imran, a resident of Kucha Muhammdi Sultanpura. Police said that the victim had a scuffle with Usman alias Sham Butt, of the same area over a minor issue three days back. Some locals of the area settled the matter, but Usman still nurtured a grudge against Imran. On the day of the incident, Imran was approached by Usman, who shot and injured him and fled from the crime scene. As a result, he received serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital where he passed away.
In the second incident, a 16-year-old youth was crushed to death by a speeding car in the limits of the Green Town police. Police said that the deceased, identified as Ahmad, resident of Pindi Rajpoota, was on his way on a bicycle when a speeding car hit him. As a result, he received multiple injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he expired. Police said that the deceased, identified as Amjad, resident of Kasur was trying to cross Khana at Khana when a speeding van hit him from behind and fled. Meanwhile, two unidentified bodies, one a woman’s, were recovered from Shafiqabad and Tibbi City police areas. Police claimed that both, still to be identified, died from natural causes. Police removed the dead bodies to the mortuary for autopsy.
