Lahore: Child abductors nabbed
LAHORE: Civil Lines Police Division (Operations wing) claimed to have apprehended four alleged abductors including three women involved in kidnapping an infant from Darbar Bibi Pakdaman couple of days back.
A senior police officer said that a victim Nargas Bibi, a resident of Gujranwala, arrived in the City and visited the Lahore General Hospital for the treatment of her husband.
Meanwhile, an accused woman namely Nasreen visited Nargas and advised her to visit Bibi Pakdaman shrine and pray for earliest recovery of her husband. Following her suggestion, Nargas along with her four-month-old son Azaan Ali visited the Darbar on Tuesday last.
“But, Nasreen in connivance with her three accomplices had already made an abduction plan. When, Nargas visited Darbar Bibi Pakdamna for Dua, Nasreen and her accomplices abducted away her son Azaan Ali from the vicinity of shrine,” said police officer, adding the police obtained CCTV footage and traced the whereabouts of the criminals.
According to the preliminary reports, Nasreen was a history sheeter criminal. She commits crime in connivance with her two daughters Kiran Bibi, Iram Bibi and her son-in-law Shahzad. “This is a notorious gang, which is operation in the City for the last several months. Yes, we have arrested its above said four members, who are being investigated properly,” he added.
Further investigations are underway.
