Peshawar: TTP claims killing of peace body chief
Peshawar: The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Orakzai Agency chapter on Thursday claimed responsibility for the assassination of the chief of Darband Peace Committee, Hashim Zaman.
Talking to reporters from an undisclosed location, TTP spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan claimed responsibility for killing the pro-government peace body head. He accused Hashim Zaman of being a sympathiser of the Nabi Hanafi group and supporter of the government.
The TTP spokesman said that Hashim Zaman was involved in attempts to divide and weaken the TTP. He warned the anti-TTP elements of the same fate. Hashim Zaman was killed and his bodyguard Shah Nawaz and driver Shah Habib were injured when an explosive device fitted in his van went off near Babar Mela the other day.
