Lahore: Murder case ordered against Dost Khosa
LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhary Nazeer Ahmed on Wednesday directed the Racecourse police station SHO to record the statement of complainant and register a murder case, if made out, against former chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa on the allegation of killing his wife Sapna Khan.
The court issued this order while disposing of a petition moved by Missal Khan, father of Sapna Khan, seeking registration of a murder case against Dost Khosa. On Wednesday, the counsel for petitioner, Azhar Siddique, submitted an affidavit of Faisal Khan, the brother of allegedly killed actress Sapna Khan, wherein he stated that on June 22 he along with his friend escorted his sister to the residence of Dost Khosa located in GOR-1.
The counsel argued that Dost Khosa had claimed that he had divorced Sapna on June 19, why he had called her on June 22. Faisal said his sister never resided in the Green Town area as claimed by Khosa.
On this, counsel for Dost Khosa contended that the court had already dismissed petitions seeking recovery of Sapna. Responding to this argument, Azhar said his client now had approached the court for registration of a criminal case against Dost Khosa instead of habeas corpus petition.
On this, the court has directed the Racecourse SHO to register an FIR, if made out, against Dost Khosa for allegedly murdering his wife. Till the filing of this report, the petitioner’s statement was not registered at the Racecourse police station.
