Islamabad: 3 members of a family wounded in robbery bid
ISLAMABAD: Three members of a family were wounded when they offered resistance to armed dacoits who barged into their house at Farash Town here on Thursday, the police spokesman said.
Three unidentified armed men entered into the house of a retired teacher, Muhammad Rasheed, and tried to hold him hostage. However, Muhammad Rasheed overpowered a dacoit and looking at the situation his accomplices opened fire on Muhammad Rasheed.
His wife and son Zahid Rasheed, an officer in the Ministry of Finance, rushed to the room but they were also wounded in firing by dacoits. After firing, the dacoits managed to escape from the scene, while the wounded persons were shifted to the hospital by their neighbour where the condition of Mrs Rasheed is stated to be critical.
