Malakwal: 92 shopkeepers put behind bars for profiteering
MALAKWAL: Mandi Bahauddin DCO Muhammad Amin Chaudhry has maintained that Islam does not allow hoarding and black-marketing in any conditions and the people involved in such malpractices will be taken to task.
He said this while chairing the meeting of Price Control Committee. He called upon the price control officers to be active and vigilant while performing their duties. The meeting participants were informed that the Price Control Magistrates conducted 604 raids against the undue profit earners and as many as 110 people were fined Rs61,300 and 92 shopkeepers were put behind the bars.
The DCO warned the undue profit earners to observe lawful price rates otherwise law would come into action.
