Karachi: Four shot dead in separate incidents
KARACHI: Four people were killed in separate incidents in the city on Sunday. The bullet-riddled body of a man in his late twenties, who was later identified as Muneer, was found lying near the Drigh Road Railway Station on Sunday afternoon.
A police mobile shifted the body to the hospital. The deceased was a resident of Natha Khan Goth. Police alleged that the deceased was a bandit wanted by the Sharea Faisal, Shah Faisal Colony and Railway Police Stations in several cases.
Earlier he had been arrested by the police and was bailed out some 10 days ago. It seems that he was killed upon some enmity.
In a separate case, Shahnawaz, 30, was shot dead while Hasnain sustained injuries in Pak Colony early Sunday morning.
During investigation it was found that Shahnawaz, along with his friends, had planned to cook some Haleem on Saturday night in the above area.
As per the plan they were busy cooking Haleem when another friend of theirs, identified as Bilal alias Billo, joined the gathering early Sunday morning. Meanwhile, Billo entered into an argument with Shahnawaz and Hasnain, took out his pistol, opened fire on Shahnawaz and Hasnain and fled.
The injured were taken to a hospital where Shahnawaz died during treatment. The deceased had received multiple bullet wounds. Both the killed and the injured were residents of Old Golimar. Shahnawaz worked in a bakery near his house.
Ali Gohar Magsi, 45, was shot outside his house in Quaidabad police limits by two men riding on a motorcycle. He died when he was being taken to a hospital. The deceased was a labourer, and he left behind a widow and five children. Police said that the murder seemed to be a part of some personal enmity.
Meanwhile, Pervez Elahi, 43, was shot dead in Sir Syed police limits. The murder took place in Sector-5A/2 of North Karachi. Police said that Elahi had been present outside his house when some armed bandits appeared and started looting him.
