Lahore: Two commit suicide
LAHORE: A teenaged girl and a Rescue–1122 personnel committed suicide following domestic issues in separate incidents here on Sunday.
The Shalimar police said 16-year-old Amber, a matriculation student of Nizamabad, swallowed poisonous pills after quarreling with his father over domestic dispute. She was taken to a hospital but to no avail.
Amber insisted her parents to allow her stay at her maternal uncle`s home, which was adjacent to her school, as she was feeling troubles while traveling to the school daily. However, her parents refused the idea. The dejected girl later swallowed pills.
The Nawab Town police said 24-year-old Nabeel Jawad Ahmad, of Multan, committed suicide by taking poisonous pills at his hostel near Thokar Niaz Beg.
Nabeel was posted as fire-fighter at Rescue–1122 Thokar Niaz Beg station.
Quoting the victim`s brother Karim Ahmad, the police said Nabeel was upset over unknown personal issues. Bodies were handed over to the families without autopsies.
