Islamabad: 13 outlaws arrested; fake currency, drugs seized

ISLAMABAD: Police on Saturday arrested 13 persons from various areas of the city for their alleged involvement in gambling, murder, drug peddling and recovered stake money, fake currency of worth Rs 0.49 million, hashish from their possession, a police spokesman said.

The SHO Koral Police Station Inspector Sajjad Haider Bukhari, Sub-Inspector Abbass along with police team raided an alleged gambling den in Tarlai and arrested nine gamblers identified accused as Zafar Mehmud, Zafar, Azhar Mehmud, Muhammad Irfan, Wajid Nazeer, Jafferan Shah, Auragnzeb, Ansar Mehmud and Abid Hussain. Police also recovered stake money Rs 75,000 and six mobile phones from their possession. Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Yaseen Bhutta from Trarnol police recovered 12 bore gun used as alleged murder tool from an accused Ejaz Khan who killed his mother and injured his brother with this weapon. Case has been registered against him and further investigation is also underway. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Aslam from Golra police station nabbed Zareena Bibi from `Pind Paracha’ and recovered 120 gram hashish.
