Kidnappers kill Hindu trader in Quetta
QUETTA: Kidnappers killed a local Hindu trader as the captors were not paid ransom Tuesday. Ravi Kumar, a local trader in the provincial capital, had been abducted from the posh area of Satellite Town some three months ago. His captors demanded Rs20 million ransom, which was reduced to Rs10 million later.
When the family did not fulfill the demand, the abductors executed Ravi and threw his body in an area near Western Bypass, the outskirts of the provincial capital. His body was found Monday night, which was shifted to local hospital where his family took the body for the final rites.
When contacted, officials said Ravi was abducted from Quetta and his family was unwilling to get help from the police. They said the kidnapers killed Ravi when they did not find ransom. However, police were investigating.
