Bahawalpur: BVH prof booked for forgery
BAHAWALPUR: The Cantonment police have registered a case against Dr Ghulam Qasim Khichi, former head of Bahawal Victoria Hospital and Quaid–e–Azam Medical College Paediatrics Department, on the charge of presenting fake orders of the apex court to stop his transfer to Lahore.
The case has been registered under sections 420, 468 and 471 of the PPC on the application of QMC Principal Prof Dr Usman Ghani. Earlier, Dr Ghulam Qasim Khichi was transferred by the Punjab Government as punishment recommended by an inquiry committee of the Lahore High Court, which was led by Bahawalpur District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Islam. The committee was constituted to probe the two-month unrest at QMC and ascertain the involvement of Dr Ghulam Qasim Khichi in it.
