Karachi: ‘Robbers’ kill man
KARACHI: A resident of Malir was shot dead while resisting armed bandits on the Super Highway early Wednesday morning, police said.
The police added that Sadiq Kareem, 46, was intercepted by two suspects near the vegetable market along the highway and they attempted to deprive him of valuables. As Kareem tried to put up resistance, the suspects shot at him twice and fled, the officials said.
They said the victim suffered two bullet wounds and died on the spot. His body was shifted to the JPMC for a post-mortem examination.
The victim resided in the Millat Town area of Malir, the police said. An FIR of the incident was yet to be lodged at the Sohrab Goth police station till Wednesday night.
