Islamabad: 15 absconders arrested in Capital during last week
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police nabbed 15 absconders allegedly involved in crime of heinous nature during last one week in a crackdown against outlaws, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police Muhammad Yousuf Malik had directed all sub divisional police officers and station house officers to launch crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders.
In compliance of these directions, all heads of police stations of Islamabad started their renewed efforts to arrest outlaws.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested three proclaimed offenders and two court absconders, Golra police one proclaimed offender and one court absconder while Industrial area, Shehzad Town and Sihala police apprehended one proclaimed offender each.
Shalimar police arrested two proclaimed offenders, one each by Anti-Car Lifting Cell and Bhara Kahu police and one court absconder by Secretariat police during this period. The SSP said performance of each police station is being reviewed in this regard on daily basis.
