Sukkur: Mystery of child’s murder solved
SUKKUR: The Matyari police managed to trace out the killers of a seven-year-old child, who was kidnapped about 10 days earlier. Giving details’ SSP Matyari Hadi Bulloo said on Saturday that Sultan Arain had demanded Rs100,000 from his brother Bilal Arain, which he declined to pay. Enraged over the refusal, Sultan hired a criminal Irfan to kidnap Zakir Arain, seven-year-old son of his brother.
The SSP Irfan kidnapped the child and demanded ransom from the child’s father through letters.
The SSP said the kidnapper kept the child hostage for seven days and later brutally killed him when the ransom money was not paid.
SSP said the police managed to trace the killer through the letters he had written and arrested him.
The kidnapper confessed his crime and told the police that he had kidnapped the child on his uncle Sultan’s initiative.
He stated that Sultan later brutally killed the child. The SSP added that the police later arrested Sultan and were investigating.
IGP Sindh Syed Mushtaq Husain Shah had taken notice of the incident and had ordered SSP Matyari to probe and arrest the killers within 24 hours.
