Karachi: SHC CJ’s abducted nephew recovered, 2 kidnappers nabbed
KARACHI: An abducted nephew of Chief Justice Sindh High Court (SHC) Mushir Alam was safely recovered on Tuesday. The recovery was made by personnel of the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) in collaboration with the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC).
Seventeen-year-old Mohammad Faizan, son of Ishtiaque, was kidnapped on September 17 from the limits of the Aziz Bhatti police station when he was buying something from a shop near his house. His family members received a call from the kidnappers demanding Rs20 million as ransom for his release.
Khalid Noor, CPLC’s senior officer, said the CPLC and the AVCC had formed a joint team to investigate the case the family sought their help. Under the command of CPLC chief Ahmed Chinoy, the team managed to locate the hideout of the kidnappers. Early morning on December 20, the joint team raided the hideout in a Katcha area of Ghotki and safely recovered Faizan. They also arrested two kidnappers Juman Khan and Mohammed Faiz with a TT pistol and Kalashnikov. A FIR has been lodged at the Aziz Bhatti police station.
