Karachi: Two gunned down
KARACHI: Two men, who were thought to be sympathizers of a political party, were killed on Friday. Arif, 31, and Tahir, 28, were gunned down early on Friday morning near Qatar Hospital, Orangi Town.
Police said both were riding a motorcycle outside the Qatar Hospital when gunmen shot at them and fled. They were shifted to the Qatar Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries during treatment. Both the victims suffered two bullet wounds each. The police found empty TT pistol shells from the scene of the crime.
Investigators said that Arif and Tahir were close friends and resided in Qasba Colony, Orangi Town. They also said that both the victims were supporters of a political party and that their murder might be related to the recent wave of target killings in the city. However, the police did not rule out any other possible motive behind the murder.
