Robbers gun down man in Westridge
ISLAMABAD: Gangsters, continuing their rampage in different areas of the city, gunned down a person on a road in broad daylight in Westridge when he was trying to chase a group of armed dacoits after his house was looted by them.
Three dacoits, equipped with guns, entered into a house located at Nou Gazee Road and looted the house after holding the family members at gunpoint. The gangsters when left the house with booty of 32 tolas of gold ornaments, Rs300,000 in cash and valuables, the owner of the house Mohammad Alyas started chasing them and about to get one of them, the gangsters started firing at him and escaped from the scene after killing him in broad day light. The dead body was later shifted to the hospital for autopsy.
In another incident, three gunmen snatched an Alto car bearing registration number RLC-1582 from Commercial Market in New Town police station area after hold the driver at gunpoint. Four other vehicles were lifted from different areas of the city. Toyota Corolla car LXB-572 was stolen from College Road falling in the jurisdiction of City police station, Honda City bearing registration number RH-6741 from Dhoke Khabba (Waris Khan police station) and Suzuki Khaiber FDA-6393 from Dhoke Chaudhian (Airport police station) while a bike RLA-212 was lifted from 6th Road falling in Sadiqabad police station.
