Karachi: 4 men shot dead in 2 hours
KARACHI: At least four people were shot dead in just two hours on Saturday night in different parts of the city, where law enforcers failed to control the rising crime situation.
Zafir Ali was shot dead by two bandits near the Habib Bank Plaza on I I Chundrigar Road in the Mithadar area late on Saturday night. A guard of Security-2000, Ali was returning home after completing his duty when the bandits attempted to snatch his motorcycle.
He, however, offered resistance, upon which the bandits shot him dead. The victim hailed from Mardan. A motorcyclist, Mohammed Saeed, was killed while he was resisting a cellphone snatching attempt by bandits opposite the Police Headquarters in the Garden area. He suffered received two fatal bullet wounds. Saeed was a resident of Korangi and he hailed from Hazarewal.
In the Khokharapar area, Kashif was shot dead near Chacha Hotel situated close to a bus stop. He was returning home after taking tea with his friends when unidentified men riding a motorcycle came across him and shot him dead..
Kashif was a tailor and lived in Khokhrapar No-2. Police said that he was a supporter of a political group. Meanwhile, an unidentified man was killed in Bilal Colony when unknown motorcyclists opened fire at a hotel in Madina Colony.
