Lahore: 92kg heroin recovered, peddler arrested
LAHORE: City Raiwind police have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 92 kg heroin worth Rs 640 million from his possession.
Saddar Division SP (Operations) Shoib Janbaz told media on Friday that the police acted on an information from its sources that some drug peddlers were preparing to export huge quantity of heroin.
He said the police teams conducted raid on a rented house and arrested a suspect identified as Riffat Mahmood, besides recovering 92kg heroin.
The suspect and his accomplices were packing the drug in small boxes meant for spices to export it to England, the SP said.
The gangsters belonged to Peshawar and they were involved in narcotics business for a long time.
