Lahore: Cable operator injured in crossfire finally dies
LAHORE: A cable operator, who had suffered multiple bullet injuries couple of days back during crossfire over networking dispute, succumbed to his injuries at the Mayo Hospital on Monday.
The victim was identified as Faysal Butt, a resident of Tajpura Scheme, Shadbagh and father of four children. Police investigators said that the deceased had old enmity with his neighbour one Haris and they practiced physical quarrel on December 30.
They used hot words after drinking liquor but Faysal had stopped Haris from doing so. The accused developed grudges against him and on last Friday, both had a verbal clash after which accused shot injured Faysal and fled from crime scene.
Faysal sustained serious bullet injury in the head and was shifted to the Mayo Hospital where he passed away on Monday.
Shadbagh police have registered a case against accused under Section 302 with no arrest till filing of this report. Further investigations are underway.
