Karachi: Two jailed for carrying illicit arms
KARACHI: A judicial magistrate on Wednesday sentenced two men to two and a half years in prison in illicit weapons cases.
The court found Mohammad Shoaib Khan and Noman Khan guilty of carrying unlicensed weapons at the time of their arrest in January 2010 within the remit of the Kharadar police station.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs10,000 each and in case of default the convicts would undergo an additional six-month imprisonment.
The suspects were separately booked under Section 13-D of the Arms Ordinance.
The men along with their four accomplices have already been convicted by a sessions court in a related case for robbing 15 kilograms of gold from a workshop in Kharadar in January 2010.
