Lakki Marwat: 2 held for selling fake BISP forms
LAKKI MARWAT: The local police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two swindlers in a remote Kaichi Kamar village who were allegedly selling fake forms of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) to the villagers.
Following the directives of DPO Gulzar Ali Khan a contingent of Dadiwala police station raided over a place in Kaichi Kamar village and arrested both deceivers identified as Pir Abdul Wahab and Imdadullah, said an official.
He said that the accused persons had pretended themselves to the villagers as BISP employees to sell fake financial assistance forms to them.
The official told that police seized counterfoils of 122 sold forms, 1200 unsold forms and Rs 5900 from them and registered a case against them under section 419, 420, 468 and 471 of PPC.
Meanwhile, 1182 proclaimed absconders and 4289 suspects were arrested by police different raids and actions during the previous year.
According to details obtained from district police office, police also arrested 20 militants while nine wanted criminals including a militant were killed in separate actions.
Police also recovered 9kg explosives, 12 detonators, 2 home made bombs, 21 hand grenades, 148 klashankovs, 26 kalakovs, 126 rifles, 287 shotguns, 435 pistols, 38 daggers, 32364 bullets, 271kg hashish, 6kg opium and 6.5kgheroin from anti social elements and miscreants during search operations launched last year.
