Employers accused of torturing servant to death in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: An 11-year-old domestic servant was allegedly killed by his employers after torturing him in Sector G-13/1 on Thursday, police sources said. The preliminary medical report confirmed the torture as many marks of torture were found on different parts of his body, the police spokesman maintained.
In order to hide the offence, the employers lodged a complaint with the Golra Police Station, saying that their domestic servant committed suicide by strangulating himself.
Police have arrested both husband and wife following the medical report and registered an FIR against them. The boy, Shan Ali, son of Ghulam Shabbir, had been working in the house of Mudassar Abbas for the last two years.
Attiya ul Hasnain, the wife of house owner, informed the Golra Police Station that their child domestic servant had committed suicide after strangulating himself.
Police team reached the spot and shifted the boy’s dead body to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for postmortem. Sources said that cut marks were found on the neck of the child and his body was handed over to his parents who hail from Jhang Waryam.
Further investigation into matter is underway as the employers of deceased domestic servant have been shifted to the police station.
A First Information Report (FIR) (Number 7) under Section 302/34 of the PPC has been registered at the police station against Mudassar and his wife after application from the father of the deceased.
The family members of the slain boy staged a protest demonstration in front of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and blocked Ibne Seena Road. The traffic remained suspended for over two hours.
