Lahore: Police kill proclaimed offender in encounter
LAHORE: The Kot Lakhpat police killed a proclaimed offender in an encounter and a police constable sustained bullet wounds on Friday. The deceased was identified as Manzoor Ahmad, 28, a resident of Faisalabad, while currently he was staying in Nishtar Colony along with his wife and two children.
Police claimed to have seized 40 computerized and manual number plates of motorcycles and also a bag full of spare parts of motorbikes. According to the police, the deceased was wanted in a dozen car and motorcycle theft cases. Police said they started chasing him after a motorbike (LEW-9472) theft call from the Lahore General Hospital on Police Emergency 15 and with the help of tracking system installed on the motorbike and raided the house in Soofiabad locality.
