Lahore: 14-year-old boy assaulted
LAHORE: A 14-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted and then strangled by unidentified person (s) in Nawab Town Police limits late on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Khadim Hussain, a son of Faqeer Hussain of Kuchi Kothi Nawab Town. Police investigators said the victim worked in an embroidery factory located in the same area. “On Sunday, Khadim left his workplace to bring diesel from bazaar, but he did not turn up. Later, some locals spotted his body lying in the fields,” they said. Police investigators said Khadim was sexually assaulted before he was strangled to death.
The heirs of the victim blocked the main road and chanted slogans against the police. Traffic remained suspended for two hours. However, the angry protesters dispersed after police assured that strict action would be taken against the negligent cops. Police registered a case against unidentified accused persons and removed the body to the City morgue for autopsy.
