Karachi: Trader shot dead
KARACHI: A trader was shot dead in an Orangi Town locality on Monday, police said.
They said that the incident took place in the MPR Colony, Baloch Goth, where 29-year old Mohammad Ayub was having tea with two other persons.
Quoting witnesses` statement, the police said that all of a sudden an altercation broke out between Ayub and the two men and one of them pulled out a pistol and fired at Ayub.
They said that the victim sustained a bullet wound in the head and died on the spot.
The two unidentified men managed to flee following the killing, the police said.
The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Orangi Town SHO Asif Rauf said that the victim was a resident of Quetta and had come to Karachi on a business trip.
He said that the victim was unmarried, adding that the victim`s family would be arriving in Karachi following which further details could be obtained.
Watchman killed A watchman of an apartment building was shot dead near Fehlwan Goth on Monday, police said.
They said that 32-year-old Asif was going home in Pehlwan Goth on a cycle when two armed men riding a motorcycle intercepted him in Gulistan-i-Jauhar`s Block 9, fired at him and fled.
